Essence of a Pit Bull

This is Duchess, a dog from my local animal shelter. She represents everything a pit bull is... happy, intelligent, clown-ish. She's more of a court jester than a lady of the court. She just wants to play. And she's so HAPPY. Even being corrected when she jumps up or plays too rough isn't enough to dampen her spirit. And her temperament is wonderful. I took a rawhide out of her mouth. She didn't care in the slightest.

In short, Duchess is a typical pit bull.
